Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trey Wilson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dustin Barton! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson shoots for a takedown but Barton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wilson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barton as he avoids it easily. Barton stuffs the takedown attempt from Wilson. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trey Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barton with a nice cross. Wilson closes the distance and clinches up with Barton, looking for a takedown. Wilson pushes Barton against the cage but Barton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wilson jumps guard but Barton stands there with Wilson around his waist. Wilson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Barton lands a body punch in the clinch. Barton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Barton wants to clinch. Barton gets caught flat footed, as Wilson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barton trying to strike off his back.
Barton has control of Wilson's left arm, preventing Wilson from doing any damage. Barton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Barton is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson won't allow Barton to sweep him here. Barton looking to control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Barton holds on and takes a little breather.
Despite being in the dominant position, Dustin Barton just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wilson shoots in for a double leg but Barton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Barton moves into the clinch. Wilson fails to pull guard.

Barton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wilson to the mat! Wilson manages to get full guard. Barton stands and throws Wilson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wilson is breathing heavily. Barton has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Wilson! Barton sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Barton dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Wilson misses with a takedown and Barton counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dustin Barton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barton forces Wilson back against the cage and clinches. Wilson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Barton pulls guard effortlessly. Barton throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Barton can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barton punching from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barton moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barton trying to keep a closed guard but Wilson is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Barton pulls Wilson in close to prevent any damage. Barton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilson is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Barton controlling the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barton looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wilson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barton is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dustin Barton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Wilson with a lazy takedown attempt and Barton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wilson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Barton passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barton is figuring out what he wants to do next. Barton tries to stand but can't do so whilst Wilson controls his leg. Barton is taking a breather. Wilson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wilson wants to improve his position but Barton is controlling well.

And that's the end of the fight! Dustin Barton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Barton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
