PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rojo Sangria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Ooka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sangria shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ooka but Ooka pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ooka tries to close the distance and clinch but Sangria swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sangria scores with a jab to the body.
Sangria fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ooka manages to avoid it.
Ooka throws a hook to the side of Sangria's head but Sangria sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ooka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Ooka scores with a spinning back kick!
Ooka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sangria.

Ooka closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ooka tries to buck Sangria off but Sangria is having none of it.

Ooka is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sangria's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's time! Sangria's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ooka tries to clinch but Sangria is having none of it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sangria enables Ooka to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sangria manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Sangria looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ooka is defending well. Sangria quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ooka has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sangria celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
