Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Block Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Saari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - Raining Blood. The crowd seem to be enjoying Saari's choice of entrance music: Beck - Loser. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Saari!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Liddell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Saari.
Saari stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Liddell.
Saari takes a swing at Liddell's ribcage but misses.
Liddell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Liddell thumps Saari with a low kick.
Saari looks to score with a jab to the body but Liddell is just out of range.
A big right from Liddell misses.
Saari keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Liddell gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Liddell is looking to slow Saari down with leg kicks.
Liddell looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Liddell throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Saari's head.


It looks like Henry Saari has been cut.
Liddell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Liddell shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Saari throws a body punch but Liddell moves out of range.
Saari misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Liddell misses with a body shot.
Liddell ducks under a wild hook from Saari.
Liddell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saari.
Saari throws out a loose jab but Liddell uses good head movement to avoid it.
Liddell misses with a low kick as Saari jumps back.
Liddell moves out of range of the strikes.
Saari throws a hook but Liddell avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Saari throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Liddell throws a nice inside leg kick.
Liddell attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
An inside leg kick from Liddell misses.
Liddell throws a nice looking combination but Saari bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Liddell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Saari.
Liddell throws a head kick that misses.
Liddell slips a jab and a cross from Saari.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saari jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Saari lands a really nice looking cross but Liddell seems unphased.
Saari fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Liddell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Saari stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Saari misses with an uppercut
and Liddell counters with a thumping low kick.
Liddell fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Saari on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Saari looks gassed!
Saari takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Liddell throws a jab when Saari was well out of range.
Liddell scores with a kick to the body.
Henry Saari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saari takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Liddell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Saari throws a right hand that misses
and Liddell counters with a low kick, right behind Saari 's knee.
Good exchange - Liddell coming out on top.
Saari's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Liddell connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Saari scrambles back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Liddell explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Liddell chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Liddell throws a head kick that misses.
Saari on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Liddell lands a big uppercut and Saari crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Saari looks OK. Liddell waves Saari back to his feet!


Saari is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Saari bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Liddell comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Saari falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Saari was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Block Liddell!
