Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dylan Mcgrath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chad Silver!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgrath misses with a few strikes there.
Mcgrath scores with a nice right hand.
Silver staying out of range there.
Silver wants to clinch but Mcgrath slips to the side
and Mcgrath cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silver changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcgrath tries to avoid it but Silver manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcgrath to the ground. Mcgrath escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mcgrath rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silver moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silver keeps the fight on the outside.
Mcgrath lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silver circles away quickly and effectively.
Mcgrath pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mcgrath shoots in but Silver avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silver looks to score with a jab to the body but Mcgrath is just out of range.
Silver tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Silver takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Silver tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mcgrath misses with a hook.
Mcgrath keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mcgrath tries to clinch up but Silver circles away and keeps his distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcgrath looks to throw the jab but Silver is out of range.
Mcgrath throws a hook to the side of Silver's head but Silver sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silver jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Silver moves forwards but Mcgrath connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mcgrath misses with a looping left.
Mcgrath lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Mcgrath tries to bum rush Silver with a series of wild strikes but Silver uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcgrath tries for a takedown but Silver sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mcgrath misses with a leg kick

and Silver counters with a shoot takedown. Mcgrath fights it but they end up in guard.
Silver trying to control but Mcgrath is working from the bottom.
Silver landing some decent shots from guard.
Silver throws a big right hand that misses.
Silver postures up in Mcgrath's guard and throws a big left but Mcgrath blocks it.
Silver throws a big right hand that misses.
Silver trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcgrath is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silver tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcgrath is retaining full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mcgrath is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Silver stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcgrath swivels though and keeps the full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silver is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mcgrath wants to stand and escape but Silver is having none of it.
Silver forces his way into half guard.
Silver tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mcgrath knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silver stops Mcgrath from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dylan Mcgrath will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A swing and a miss from Mcgrath.
Dylan Mcgrath is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silver shoots in for a takedown but Mcgrath shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mcgrath tries to sprawl but Silver drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Mcgrath is defending against the submission attempts here by Silver.
Mcgrath knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silver on the ground.
Silver not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Silver thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcgrath's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silver is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Silver trying to control from half guard but Mcgrath is working away.

Silver is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Silver wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcgrath keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silver throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Silver takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Silver maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mcgrath could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Silver has cracked it and Mcgrath is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Silver!
