PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen disturbed - down with the sickness as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Chuck Gracie was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Gracie.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Dick tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie drops Dick with a nice combination! Gracie dives into Dick's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Jordan Dick has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie prevents Dick from getting back to his feet.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dick is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.

Chuck Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Dick throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gracie escapes and throws Dick's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dick has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dick gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.

Dick had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.
Gracie forces his way into half guard.
Gracie is pressing down on Dick's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dick is holding on for now.
Gracie wants to take a breather but Dick is having none of it.

Gracie stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dick to get to his feet.

Dick gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gracie regains guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dick wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
Dick distracts Gracie with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dick's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Dick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dick has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

Gracie has his foot on Dick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dick works his way back into a safe position though.
Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Dick is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gracie has a closed guard, preventing Dick from standing up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dick's guard.

That was a close round but Jordan Dick did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Dick has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gracie clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Dick is looking for the choke from the back position but Gracie is controlling his hands well.

Dick gets caught napping as Gracie dives in and scores a takedown. Dick manages to retain guard.
Gracie is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.
Dick wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gracie wants to get up but he can't break Dick's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Dick controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself.

Dick is looking to sinch up a triangle. Gracie throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dick's body to avoid the submission. Dick has instead reached around Gracie's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dick arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Jordan Dick really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
