Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gonzo Latulipe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shields comes to the cage accompanied by Swagga Like Us by T.I.. Gonzo Latulipe acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Latulipe gets a clinch.

Shields gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Shields stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Latulipe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A left and a right from Latulipe both land. Nice combination.
Latulipe fakes the leg kick and cracks Shields in the body.

and Shields counters with a shoot takedown. Latulipe fights it but they end up in guard.
Latulipe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shields!
Latulipe takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
