The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov misses with a straight left.

Ivanov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Burns.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ivanov.
Ivanov thows a body kick. Burns tries to catch it but that hurt him.
The fighters circling - Burns throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ivanov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it.
Burns shoots in for a double leg but Ivanov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ivanov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Burns shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Burns showed some decent athleticism there.
Ivanov wants to control but Burns is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ivanov wants to improve his position but Burns is controlling well.
Burns throws a strike but Ivanov avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Ivanov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Burns!

Ivanov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burns is looking to escape.
Ivanov can't control as he wanted to and Burns manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Ivanov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
