Cruz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Matuszewski sprawls well initially but Cruz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Cruz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Matuszewski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cruz wants to control from the top but Matuszewski keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Matuszewski holds on and takes a little breather.
Let's hope that Matuszewski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We're going to have a standup here because Brock Cruz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Matuszewski misses the shot to the body.
Cruz fails with an attempt to clinch.

Cruz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Matuszewski eats them both and turns towards Cruz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Cruz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Matuszewski on his heels. He'll look to pass Matuszewski's guard now, I'm sure.

Cruz is pushing Matuszewski's head away, looking to escape. Matuszewski manages to hold on to the position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brock Cruz will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Matuszewski shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Cruz takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Matuszewski sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Cruz bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Michal Matuszewski opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
