Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kadir Sahin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Grygiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grygiel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sobota- Za damski h.... These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kadir Sahin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artur Grygiel!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sahin misses with an attempted mid kick.
Grygiel misses with a double jab.
Sahin misses with a kick to the body.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Grygiel!
Sahin throws a nice inside leg kick.
Grygiel misses with a series of wild punches.
Sahin throws a head kick that misses.
Grygiel swats away the attempt to clinch by Sahin.
Sahin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Grygiel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Grygiel is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Grygiel tries to bum rush Sahin with a series of wild strikes but Sahin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sahin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Grygiel finds it's way round the side to connect with Sahin's head.
Sahin throws a low kick but it's checked well by Grygiel.

Kadir Sahin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sahin throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Grygiel.
Grygiel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Grygiel checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

and Grygiel counters with a series of strikes. Sahin will be more careful next time no doubt.

Grygiel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sahin to the mat! Sahin manages to get full guard.

Sahin is looking to stand up but Grygiel isn't so interested in that idea.
Grygiel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Grygiel drops back looking for a leg! Sahin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sahin manages to kick Grygiel off! Grygiel jumps back into Sahin's guard.
Grygiel postures up in Sahin's guard and throws a big left but Sahin blocks it.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Grygiel's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grygiel is pushing down on Sahin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sahin is fighting to maintain full guard but Grygiel has managed to sneak the leg through.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grygiel is taking a breather. Sahin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sahin is looking to escape.
Sahin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grygiel on the ground.
Grygiel lands with a punch from half guard.
Well, if Grygiel is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Grygiel's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A combination from Sahin does no damage.

and Grygiel counters with a left and a right that stings Sahin.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sahin.

Artur Grygiel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Grygiel shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sahin eats them both and turns towards Grygiel to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


Sahin is rocked!
Sahin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sahin looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Grygiel feints a jab promting Sahin to slip. Grygiel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sahin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Oh Sahin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sahin lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Grygiel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Grygiel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Sahin seems to have got his legs back now.
Grygiel misses with a double jab.
Grygiel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Sahin tries to sprawl but Grygiel drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Grygiel content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Artur Grygiel was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Sahin wants to clinch but Grygiel slips to the side

and Grygiel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sahin's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grygiel throws a right and a left that Sahin avoids nicely.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sahin.
Artur Grygiel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sahin misses with a head kick.

Grygiel slips a jab and a cross from Sahin.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Grygiel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grygiel stalks Sahin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sahin's face. Sahin staggers backwards, shaken.

And that's the end of the fight!
Artur Grygiel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Grygiel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
