Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Henrique (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a head kick that misses.

Henrique closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
Henrique wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.
Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Henrique is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Silva is trying to pull guard but Henrique turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Paulo Henrique has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Silva.

Silva ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silva no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henrique gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Henrique not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Henrique wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henrique doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Silva is tightening it up a little... Henrique has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Henrique reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Henrique taps out! Nice BJJ there by Silva!
