The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsters throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice body kick there by Marsters.
Marsters gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Marsters breaks the clinch.
putman tries to clinch but Marsters moves out of range.
Marsters instigates a clinch.
Marsters is looking to control putman's arms but putman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Marsters has his back to the cage.
Marsters breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
putman throws a sloppy head kick and Marsters moves out of range easily.
putman moves out of range of the body kick from Marsters.
Marsters drops putman with a left and a right! Oh, putman is hurt - Marsters dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like mike putman has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
putman is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marsters decides to stand up, so the ref orders putman to his feet.
Marsters connects with a nice cross there... putman is looking wobbly and Marsters recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send putman to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Marsters jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
