PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Barkas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel BloodWing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barkas comes to the cage accompanied by Civil war. Hannibal Barkas had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkas misses the jab.
BloodWing shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barkas as he jumps to the side.
BloodWing throws a series of punches but Barkas moves out of range.
BloodWing throws the left hand but Barkas avoids the punch easily.

BloodWing throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Barkas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. BloodWing is in Barkas's guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Barkas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in BloodWing's guard.
Barkas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Well BloodWing has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
