Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

cage shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in West's guard.
West looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

cage stands and steps away. West gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Clubber West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
cage misses with a two punch combination.

cage changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. West looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

cage decides to stand back up. cage steps back and let's West get back to his feet.
cage shoots in looking for a takedown. West tries to sprawl out of it but cage keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. West manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

cage closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
West prevents cage from moving into mount.

West is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

West is bucking up trying to escape but cage cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

West tries to lock up and control but cage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
cage takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

West tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

cage is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But West has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from West!

West gets to his feet. cage looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
West wants to clinch up but cage keeps it at a distance.

cage looks up at the clock and then as West takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, cage smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

West is rocked!
West takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
West is still in real trouble! Can cage finish him?
cage lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
cage scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh West is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and cage can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
