Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Rankinstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brus Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rankinstein comes to the cage accompanied by Going Back To Cali by LL Cool J. Li has chosen Blue Bob - Go Get Some as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rankinstein shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rankinstein was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rankinstein is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Li to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Li shrugs it off.
Li is looking to improve his position but Rankinstein isn't that keen on the idea.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rankinstein has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rankinstein and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Derrick Rankinstein.
Well Rankinstein has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
