Tommy Mcgarry struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mcgarry back to the cage. Morgan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Morgan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mcgarry is defended easily by Morgan.
Mcgarry misses with a takedown attempt - Morgan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Morgan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcgarry, pushing him back against the cage.
Morgan wants to get back to striking at distance but Mcgarry won't allow it.

Mcgarry gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Mcgarry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mcgarry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
