Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joaquin Shodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bone Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joaquin Shodo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bone Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shodo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shodo as he jumps to the side.
Shodo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Jones controlling the position.
Shodo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shodo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!
Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shodo is keeping the position for now.
Jones wants to control from the top but Shodo keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Shodo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Shodo manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Shodo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Shodo fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joaquin Shodo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones with a poor takedown
and Shodo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Shodo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.
Shodo wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.
Jones throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shodo wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him.
Jones wants to control from the top but Shodo keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones wanted to stand there but Shodo had control of the position.
Jones prevents Shodo from getting back to his feet.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bone Jones wasn't active enough on the ground.
Shodo leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shodo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones tries to bench press Shodo off him but Shodo keeps the position.
Shodo is working to tighten is grip on Jones's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jones has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Shodo is really squeezing tight and eventually Jones passes out! Shodo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
