Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons has chosen DMX - Who We Be as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins lands a slapping body shot.
Hawkins connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hawkins moves out of range of the leg kick from Simmons.
Simmons throws the kick towards the body but Hawkins avoids it.
A good leg kick by Simmons.
Simmons misses with an uppercut. Hawkins saw that one coming.
Simmons uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hawkins.
The fighters circling - Hawkins throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hawkins lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hawkins cracks Simmons with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Simmons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hawkins's waist but Hawkins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simmons off to one side.
Hawkins jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Earl Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simmons shoots in looking for a takedown. Hawkins tries to sprawl out of it but Simmons keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hawkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hawkins tests Simmons's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hawkins is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hawkins swings widly with a right hand

and Simmons counters with a shoot takedown. Hawkins fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hawkins is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Simmons wants to control from the top but Hawkins keeps moving.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Earl Simmons.
Hawkins takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Simmons staying out of range there.
Hawkins throws a big shot that misses.
Hawkins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Simmons counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Simmons tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hawkins makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hawkins connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hawkins is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Hawkins misses with an uppercut. Simmons saw that one coming.
Hawkins wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Simmons motions for Hawkins to come forward. Simmons throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A big left from Hawkins misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Hawkins.
Hawkins thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hawkins throws a shot to the body.
Hawkins ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Simmons looks gassed!
BOOM! Hawkins lands a beautiful left hook that drops Simmons. Simmons tries to recover but Hawkins is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Simmons lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Dave Hawkins thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
