Smalls has chosen Gimme The Loot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koivikorpi swats away the attempt to clinch by Smalls.
Koivikorpi scores with a takedown into Smalls's guard.

Smalls had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Koivikorpi is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Smalls Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Koivikorpi's back instead.
Smalls looks gassed!
Koivikorpi tries to escape but Smalls has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Well, with Smalls on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Koivikorpi is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Koivikorpi manages to reverse the position and now he's in Smalls's guard. Nice work there by Koivikorpi.
Koivikorpi drops back looking for a leg! Smalls is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smalls manages to kick Koivikorpi off! Koivikorpi jumps back into Smalls's guard.
Smalls has his foot on Koivikorpi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koivikorpi works his way back into a safe position though.
Koivikorpi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Koivikorpi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Koivikorpi wants to work for an arm triangle but Smalls is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are battling for position here. Smalls manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Koivikorpi has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Smalls to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Koivikorpi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Smalls pulls down on the head and he's put Koivikorpi to sleep! This one is all over!
