The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine ducks under a wild hook from Ground.
Ground tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

It looks like Phoenix Valentine has been cut.

Valentine closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ground quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Valentine seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
