Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jung Chan Sung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Stillao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Stillao!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stillao gets a double leg takedown into Sung 's guard.
Stillao with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Stillao content to stall in guard here.

Sung gets caught napping as Stillao dives in and scores a takedown. Sung manages to retain guard.
Stillao throws a strike but Sung rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Stillao is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sung is controlling him.

Sung thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sung wants to pass the guard but Stillao is keeping the position.
Stillao really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sung . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stillao is pulling down on Sung 's head to control his posture.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stillao wants to stand up but Sung is controlling him.

Sung is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sung stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stillao swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stillao can do anything to dispel that myth.

Stillao escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sung gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sung thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sung wants to pass the guard but Stillao is keeping the position.
Stillao controls Sung momentarily but Sung frees himself.

Sung drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stillao dives on top into guard.
Stillao passes into half guard.

Stillao is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sung looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Mike Stillao will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Stillao tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jung Chan Sung is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stillao misses with a double jab

and Sung counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stillao's guard now.

Sung drops back looking for a leg! Stillao is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stillao manages to kick Sung off! Sung jumps back into Stillao's guard.
Sung is pushing down on Stillao's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stillao is fighting to maintain full guard but Sung has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sung is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stillao defends it well.

Sung postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stillao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sung , into his guard.

Stillao must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Stillao can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sung is looking to escape.

Sung is desperately trying to improve his position but Stillao has a good base and remains in mount.
Stillao tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mike Stillao.
Well Stillao has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
