Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cosmo Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cragen has chosen Captain Cragen as his entrance music. Don Cragen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cosmo Hoost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Cragen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Hoost.

Cragen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hoost to the mat! Hoost manages to get full guard.
Cragen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Cragen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cragen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Cragen throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cragen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cragen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cragen with a nice head shot there.
Hoost has momentary wrist control but Cragen slips an elbow through the middle.
Cragen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cragen is working Hoost over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Cragen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hoost works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cragen scoring with some ground and pound.
Hoost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cragen on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cragen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hoost controls Cragen momentarily but Cragen frees himself.
Cragen throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cosmo Hoost wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Cragen will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Cragen.
Hoost taking punishment in the form of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cragen moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Cragen is working to tighten is grip on Hoost's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hoost has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cragen is really squeezing tight and eventually Hoost passes out! Cragen breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Don Cragen really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that 5th Round Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
