PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Darian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berg comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger. Darian has chosen Fly By Night as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Lance Darian!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darian misses with a jab, cross combination.
Berg thows a left - swing and a miss!
Darian misses with a two punch combination.
Berg rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Darian moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Berg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Darian's waist but Darian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Berg off to one side.

Darian gets caught flat footed, as Berg shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Darian wants to stand up but Berg is controlling him.
Berg throws a strike but Darian rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Darian stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Berg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Darian gets to his feet - Berg follows without any prompting.
Darian changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Berg keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Darian thuds his right hand into Berg's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Berg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Darian's waist but Darian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Berg off to one side.
Berg closes the distance and clinches up with Darian, looking for a takedown. Berg pushes Darian against the cage but Darian circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Berg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Berg throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Darian throws a sloppy head kick and Berg moves out of range easily.
Lance Darian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Berg throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A decent looking cross lands there for Darian.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Berg connects with a crisp jab.
Darian misses with a straight left.
Darian cracks Berg with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Alexander Berg has been cut.
Nice defenses there by Berg.

Berg shoots in and gets a takedown into Darian's guard.
Berg postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Berg trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Darian works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Darian is trying to control the position but Berg postures up.

Darian is looking to sinch up a triangle. Berg throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Darian's body to avoid the submission. Darian has instead reached around Berg's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Darian arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
