PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Turnham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuhiko Asai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asai keeps the fight on the outside.
Asai looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Turnham shoots for a takedown but Asai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Turnham lands a big head kick that sends Asai tumbling to the mat! Turnham takes a step backwards and waves Asai back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Tetsuhiko Asai has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown by Turnham or perhaps it was just good defense by Asai which made him look bad.
Turnham tries to close the distance and clinch up but Asai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Turnham fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Turnham. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Turnham shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Turnham was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Turnham scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Turnham is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Turnham extends the arm and Asai is forced to tap!
