The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skaft throws a leg kick but Plushenko sees it coming and moves out of range.
Plushenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Skaft moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Skaft buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Skaft wants to land a leg kick but Plushenko is out of range.
Plushenko throws a right hand that misses
and Skaft makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Plushenko lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Plushenko misses with a wild body shot.
Johannes Skaft seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plushenko pivots, looking for a leg kick but Skaft is out of range and Plushenko settles back down.
Plushenko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nice body kick from Skaft.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Skaft dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Plushenko. That did some damage!
Plushenko is breathing heavily.
Skaft pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Skaft just misses with a punch to the body.
Plushenko throws a hook but Skaft blocks it.
Plushenko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Skaft ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Plushenko moves away.

Skaft connects with a leg kick. Plushenko looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Plushenko takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Skaft connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Skaft thumps Plushenko with a low kick.
Skaft thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Plushenko if he has to take too many more of those.

Skaft works the jab nicely.
Plushenko tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A solid leg kick lands there for Skaft.
Skaft moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Skaft lands a big head kick that sends Plushenko to the canvas! Skaft follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
