Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scottie Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlo Mouzone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrier comes to the cage accompanied by Down with the Sickness. Marlo Mouzone has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Scottie Terrier's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scottie Terrier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Mouzone!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Terrier dives in and scores a takedown into Mouzone's guard.
Terrier postures up in Mouzone's guard and throws a big left but Mouzone blocks it.
Terrier wants to control from the top but Mouzone keeps moving.
Terrier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mouzone is keeping the position for now.
Terrier trying to control but Mouzone is working from the bottom.
Mouzone trying to strike off his back.
Terrier trying to control but Mouzone is working from the bottom.
Terrier in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mouzone keeping moving, preventing Terrier from controlling successfully.
Mouzone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Terrier is one step ahead there.

Terrier is fighting to break Mouzone's control of his arms but Mouzone is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Scottie Terrier.
Terrier shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mouzone as he jumps to the side.
Mouzone lands with a good body shot.
Terrier fails with the takedown
and Mouzone counters with a stiff right hand.

Mouzone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Terrier to the ground. Mouzone is now in Terrier's guard.
Mouzone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Terrier is looking to sweep but instead, Mouzone has passed into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Terrier looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mouzone winds up and cracks Terrier with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Terrier tries to get to full guard but Mouzone has control of the leg.
Terrier moves into full guard.
Terrier controls Mouzone momentarily but Mouzone frees himself.
Terrier keeping moving, preventing Mouzone from controlling successfully.
Terrier will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Terrier throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mouzone escapes and throws Terrier's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Mouzone lands an elbow.
Mouzone is looking to take a break and control but Terrier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mouzone is staying tight to Terrier's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Terrier tries to bench press Mouzone off him but Mouzone keeps the position.
Terrier manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mouzone looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Terrier gets back to full guard.
Mouzone trying to control the position from guard on top but Terrier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marlo Mouzone dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Terrier looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mouzone!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Terrier looking to secure an arm triangle but Mouzone defends it well.
Mouzone is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Mouzone is squirming around, avoiding Terrier's attempts to control the action.
Terrier scoring with strikes but Mouzone is staying in there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Terrier is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Terrier is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mouzone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mouzone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mouzone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Terrier lands a nice shot to the head.

Terrier can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mouzone is looking to escape.
Terrier prevents Mouzone from getting the reversal.
Terrier wants to control the pace but Mouzone is squirming around nicely.

Scottie Terrier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Terrier pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Mouzone is in all sorts of trouble here.
Terrier wants to control the pace but Mouzone is squirming around nicely.
Terrier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Terrier lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mouzone hang on?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mouzone is in all sorts of trouble here.

Terrier is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mouzone to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mouzone shrugs it off.
The referee warns Mouzone that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Terrier swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mouzone is now in Terrier's guard. A big mistake from Terrier there, giving up the dominant position!

Terrier has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mouzone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mouzone is pushing down on Terrier's leg trying to pass to half guard. Terrier is fighting to maintain full guard but Mouzone has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scottie Terrier dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Mouzone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Terrier doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Mouzone counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Terrier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mouzone is one step ahead there.
Terrier keeping moving, preventing Mouzone from controlling successfully.
Terrier looking for a sweep. Not yet Terrier, not yet.
Mouzone wants to control from the top but Terrier keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Terrier is on top in guard.

Terrier passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Terrier wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mouzone keeps working.

Terrier is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mouzone defends it well.
Terrier is trying to control. Mouzone wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Terrier wants to pass the guard but Mouzone is defending well.

Terrier wants to control from the top but Mouzone keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mouzone is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Scottie Terrier showed his dominance in that final round.
