Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Croft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rambo Ceasar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Croft could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rambo Ceasar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom Croft!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rambo Ceasar!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ceasar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Croft tries to avoid it but Ceasar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Croft to the ground. Croft escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Croft will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ceasar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Croft moves away.

Ceasar gets caught flat footed, as Croft shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Croft is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ceasar is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ceasar has escaped and now he's on top!
Croft looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Croft wants to sweep but no luck.

Ceasar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Croft looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Croft looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Croft!

Croft is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ceasar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Croft is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ceasar will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Croft decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Ceasar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Croft looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Croft looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Ceasar is refusing to be controlled, as Croft sits in half guard.

Croft is looking for a kimura but Ceasar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Croft to get the leverage.
Croft passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ceasar!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Croft is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ceasar has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Croft looking for a guillotine from mount but Ceasar is having none of it.

Croft has hold of Ceasar's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ceasar manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Croft is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ceasar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Croft is pressing down on Ceasar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ceasar is holding on for now.
Croft slips a nice elbow through Ceasar's hands, connecting with Ceasar's forehead.

Ceasar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Croft doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Croft manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ceasar has momentary wrist control but Croft slips an elbow through the middle.

Ceasar is staying active underneath Croft, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Croft wants to pass to mount but Ceasar is defending the position.
Croft is trying to control the action in half guard but Ceasar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Croft is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Croft decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Croft throws a one two combo.

Ceasar tries to sprawl but Croft drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Croft is nestled in close to Ceasar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Croft is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ceasar!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Croft has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ceasar enables Croft to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ceasar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Croft controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Croft decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ceasar slaps away a takedown attempt from Croft, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ceasar fails to land with a series of punches.
Ceasar wants to clinch.
Croft shoots in but Ceasar avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ceasar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Croft throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ceasar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Croft is in Ceasar's guard.
Ceasar can't keep his opponent in guard - Croft advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
