Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Earl Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Jerunkel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird fails with a takedown attempt.
Jerunkel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bird defends it nicely.
Jerunkel throws out a leg kick but Bird moves out of range and Jerunkel only half commits.
Jerunkel shoots in looking for a takedown but Bird manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jerunkel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Earl Bird seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bird feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Bird throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jerunkel's waist but Jerunkel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bird off to one side.
