Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Gambino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pappy Shrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shrew has chosen In The Morning as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gambino takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Frankie Gambino has been cut.

Shrew tests Gambino's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Shrew keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Shrew fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Frankie Gambino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Frankie Gambino will probably get the nod.

Gambino feints and then cracks Shrew's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shrew down.

Gambino is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Good leg kick by Gambino there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gambino has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Gambino buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Gambino does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Shrew is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Gambino rather than just go for the knockout.
Shrew fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gambino manages to avoid it.
Gambino lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shrew circles away quickly and effectively.

Gambino shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shrew eats them both and turns towards Gambino to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gambino lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shrew has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shrew and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shrew is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Gambino doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Shrew crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Shrew's bad books for that mishap!

Frankie Gambino decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
