The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Scimeca looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Scimeca wants to get back to his feet but King drags him back down.
King is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Scimeca knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
King throws an elbow but it's blocked.
King tightens his grip and picks Scimeca up, before dumping him to the ground. Scimeca manages to land in guard.

Scimeca pushes King off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Scimeca misses with a series of wild punches.
King moves out of range as Scimeca strikes.
Scimeca feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Scimeca shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed Scimeca's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
