Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donald Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blood Wizard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wizard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wizard is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Patterson sees it coming and defends easily.

Wizard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Patterson's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wizard connects with a nice short shot to Patterson's temple.
Wizard passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Patterson!
Patterson is bucking up trying to escape but Wizard cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Wizard in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Wizard has a couple of punches blocked by Patterson.
Patterson has Wizard pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Wizard is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Patterson - that's hurt Wizard badly! Oh, another knee lands and Wizard is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Wizard doesn't seem to be complaining.
