The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Stampede blocks the body kick.
The Stampede feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Schindlers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The Stampede fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Schindler on the side of the head.
The Stampede throws a right hand that Schindler ducks under and follows up with a left that Schindler also avoids with ease.
Schindler finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
The Stampede swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The Stampede fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schindler sprawls well initially but The Stampede persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The Stampede is pressing down on Schindler's thigh, looking to free his foot. Schindler is holding on for now.

The Stampede looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The Stampede drops an elbow to the side of Schindler's head.
The Stampede has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
