PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Beardy Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaice Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bennett's entrance music is Shamrocks and Shenanigans- House of Pain. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bennett paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gunn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bennett scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Kaice Gunn has been cut.
Gunn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bennett shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Gunn throws a nice looking combination but Bennett bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gunn checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bennett rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gunn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bennett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bennett lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Bennett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gunn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bennett scores with a one two! Gunn had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Gunn's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Gunn misses with a hook to the ribs.

Gunn pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Bennett manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bennett lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Bennett is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gunn can't fight it off and eventually Bennett manages to take the fight to the floor. Gunn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bennett's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bennett slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Beardy Bennett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bennett paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A slapping leg kick lands for Bennett.

Bennett throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

That has opened up Kaice Gunn's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab from Bennett does it's job there.
Gunn dodges the punch combination from Bennett.
Bennett lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gunn backs up against the cage.
Bennett lands a nice looking body shot.
Bennett is pawing at Gunn, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Gunn's nose. Gunn is badly hurt! Bennett pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Gunn tries desperately to hold on but Bennett is relentless in his assault! As Gunn receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Bennett away and this one is in the books!
