PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kiwi Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Captain Morgan's Revenge kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bird will feel that in the morning.
Morgan lands a nice hook to Bird's body. Bird takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Morgan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Morgan lands the left hand.
Bird falls off balance throwing a combination
and Morgan counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A slapping leg kick lands for Morgan.
Bird misses with a few strikes there.
Bird takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morgan throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Morgan lands a big head kick that sends Bird tumbling to the mat! Morgan takes a step backwards and waves Bird back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Kiwi Bird has been cut.
Morgan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Bird is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bird switches off momentarily and Morgan cracks him with a monster right hand! Bird topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Morgan dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Morgan!
