Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Backman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seb Bastion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Backman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Seb Bastion!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastion throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Ben Backman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Backman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Backman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Bastion shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bastion is keen to just control but Backman is a slippery customer.
Bastion wants to free his trapped foot but Backman is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Backman wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bastion is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Bastion wants to pass to mount but Backman is defending the position.
Bastion is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Backman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bastion.
Bastion wants to free his trapped foot but Backman is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Backman looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bastion throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bastion throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bastion works his way into full mount!

Backman bucks Bastion off and manages to get back to his feet!
Backman avoids the body shot from Bastion.
Bastion avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bastion drives through with a takedown into Backman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Bastion trying to control but Backman is working from the bottom.
Backman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bastion trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bastion trying to control the position from guard on top but Backman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bastion might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Backman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Seb Bastion.
Bastion scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Backman scores with a nice head shot.
Bastion connects with a high kick.


It looks like Ben Backman has been cut.
Bastion throws a body punch but Backman moves out of range.
Bastion throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Backman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Backman throws a combination. Bastion tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Backman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bastion manages to avoid it.
Bastion pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bastion fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Backman to the ground. Bastion is now in Backman's guard.
Bastion forces his way into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Backman is trying to stand up here but Bastion is controlling him well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seb Bastion dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ben Backman's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Backman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bastion with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Backman misses with a body kick.
Bastion ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Backman moves away.
Backman lunges at Bastion with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bastion's hand.
Backman misses with an uppercut. Bastion saw that one coming.
Backman digs a good hook to Bastion's body.
Bastion swings for the body but Backman moves out of range.
Bastion looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bastion uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Backman.
Backman thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bastion swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bastion swings widly with a right hand
and Backman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Backman connects with a right hand. Bastion shakes it off.
Bastion fails with a takedown attempt.
Bastion gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Backman throws a right and a left that both miss.
A head kick misses from Backman.
Bastion misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Backman throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bastion counters with a nice body shot.
Backman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Bastion fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Backman to the ground. Bastion is now in Backman's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bastion with a flurry of punches that miss.
Backman can't keep his opponent in guard - Bastion advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Bastion trying to control the pace.
Bastion passes to side control.
Backman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Backman is not content to let Bastion control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bastion creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Backman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Backman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bastion asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bastion advances nicely into full mount.
Bastion content just to control the position here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Backman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Bastion landing strikes from the mount and Backman is in trouble!
Bastion postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Backman looks a forlorn figure.
You get the feeling that Backman really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Bastion trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Backman tries to buck Bastion off but he can't manage it.
Bastion tries to control but Backman wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seb Bastion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Ben Backman's cut.
That's time! Backman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Bastion swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Backman lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Bastion is rocked!
Backman lands a brutal uppercut that launches Bastion off his feet! Bastion tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ben Backman!
Ben Backman spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
