And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chad Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and King counters by clinching up.
Mendes has King pressed against the cage, preventing King from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A frustrated look appears on King's face as he tries to break the clinch.

King breaks from the clinch.
King changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

King closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mendes tries to break free but King pushes him back against the cage.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mendes tries to score a power double leg takedown but King sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mendes somewhat.

King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
