Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steffan Bonnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoosier Daddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steffan Bonnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hoosier Daddy!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonnar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Daddy is fending him off so far but Bonnar persists. Nope, Daddy circles away and we're back to standing.
Daddy falls off balance throwing a combination

and Bonnar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Daddy moves into full guard.

Daddy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bonnar slips nicely into half guard.
Daddy wants to get back to his feet.
Bonnar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bonnar trying to mount his opponent but Daddy defends it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daddy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bonnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bonnar postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Daddy to stand up.
Bonnar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Daddy can pounce on him.
Daddy shoots in for a takedown but Bonnar shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hoosier Daddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bonnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bonnar's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Daddy wants to sweep but no luck.
Daddy looks gassed!

Bonnar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Daddy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bonnar shoots in and drives through. Daddy sprawls well.

Bonnar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bonnar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Daddy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bonnar lands strikes from half guard.
Bonnar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bonnar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bonnar winds up and cracks Daddy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bonnar slows the pace down in half guard.
Bonnar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Well, if Bonnar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bonnar uses his free foot to push down on Daddy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Daddy.

Bonnar looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Bonnar looking to control but Daddy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bonnar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Daddy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bonnar lands a big shot there that rocks Daddy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Daddy is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bonnar looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Daddy covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
