Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Kolor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Nochebuena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alejandro Nochebuena has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Kolor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alejandro Nochebuena!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kolor dives in and scores a takedown into Nochebuena's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kolor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nochebuena's guard.
Kolor not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kolor is pressing down on Nochebuena's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nochebuena is holding on for now.
Kolor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Kolor is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nochebuena has managed to free his arm - good work.

and Kolor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kolor is working Nochebuena over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Nochebuena can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kolor controls the pace.
Kolor has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Kolor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Nochebuena is looking to stand up but Kolor isn't so interested in that idea.
Kolor is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kolor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Kolor doesn't have the hooks in and Nochebuena manages to turn into his guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nochebuena accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nochebuena tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kolor swivels and escapes.

Kolor closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nochebuena quickly recovers to half guard.
Nochebuena tries to roll over but Kolor keeps him under control.
Kolor lands strikes from half guard.
Kolor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Nochebuena won't allow Kolor to pass to mount.
Kolor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kolor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nochebuena's head.

Kolor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nochebuena for as long as he can get away with.

Nochebuena shoots for a double leg takedown but Kolor sprawls well. He's pushed Nochebuena's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Nochebuena pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kolor back to the cage. Nochebuena follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Kolor has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Nochebuena is trying to keep an underhook but Kolor manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kolor is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Nochebuena reverses the position - he's now on top in Kolor's guard.
