Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zahir Nolam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernard Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nolam comes into the arena with Mo Money mo Problems blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolam tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Shamrock counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nolam!
Nolam gets back to half guard.
Nolam looks like he's trying to stand up.
Nolam wants to get back to full guard.
Shamrock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Nolam is staying active underneath Shamrock, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Shamrock is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shamrock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Nolam's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nolam tries to clinch but Shamrock moves away
and Nolam takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Shamrock is looking to score with low kicks.
Nolam wants to clinch
and Shamrock counters with a good low kick that Nolam was not able to check.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nolam looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nolam closes the distance and pushes Shamrock back into the cage.
Nolam is looking to break free of the clinch but Shamrock has double underhooks.
Shamrock has Nolam pressed against the cage, preventing Nolam from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Nolam tries to circle away but Shamrock has him pinned against the cage.
Shamrock is working for takedown but Nolam is calmly controlling the position for now.
Shamrock avoids the elbow strike from Nolam, against the cage.
Shamrock manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A frustrated look appears on Nolam's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Nolam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nolam tries to close the distance and clinch but Shamrock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Shamrock counters with a stiff right hand.
Zahir Nolam is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nolam wants to clinch but Shamrock slips to the side
letting Shamrock counter with a right hand.
Shamrock avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nolam tries to clinch but Shamrock moves away
and Shamrock counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Shamrock with the ground and pound but Nolam uses the opportunity to regain guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nolam is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Shamrock frees his head nicely. Oh but Nolam has switched to an armbar! Shamrock is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
