Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lewis James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan McMillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nathan McMillan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lewis James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan McMillan!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMillan lands an overhand right.
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but McMillan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat.
McMillan throws a right hand that James ducks under and follows up with a left that James also avoids with ease.
Some wild striking there from McMillan.

A momentary lapse in concentration from James enables McMillan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. James manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McMillan looks gassed!

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

James is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McMillan defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

James is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McMillan is aware though and is defending well.

James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McMillan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James has a closed guard, preventing McMillan from standing up.

McMillan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing James to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! McMillan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - James pulls down on the head and he's put McMillan to sleep! This one is all over!
