The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rocha wants to clinch.
Rocha misses with a looping left.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rocha as he avoids it easily.
Rocha lands a slapping body shot.
Rocha throws a predictable looking body shot
and Santos counters with a head kick.
Lucas Rocha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rocha sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santos somewhat.
Rocha thuds his right hand into Santos's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rocha lands with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Santos throws a leg kick that misses.
Decent striking displayed by Rocha there.
Rocha throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Santos takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Santos looks gassed!

Rocha with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rocha tries to close the distance and clinch but Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Santos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rocha.
Rocha lands a body shot.
Rocha connects with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Santos keeps the fight on the outside.
Rocha lands a jab to Santos's midsection.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rocha. Santos does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rocha tries to clinch there but Santos circles away.
Nice straight punches there by Rocha. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rocha.
Rocha throws a quick inside leg kick.

Rocha lands a big right hand that sends Santos crashing to the mat! Rocha stays standing though and waves Santos back to his feet!

Santos is rocked!
Rocha throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Santos is still on wobbly legs! Can Rocha finish him?

Santos looks up at the clock. Bad move! Rocha lands a right hand from hell, dropping Santos. Rocha pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
