Matwijenko is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hас баxamo!. Iwan Matwijenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Iwan Matwijenko!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matwijenko throws a head kick but Shrude moves out of range.
Shrude waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Matwijenko.
Shrude tries to keep at a distance but Matwijenko has taken the fight into the clinch.
Shrude tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Shrude throws a punch but it's blocked by Matwijenko.

Matwijenko connects with a nasty looking knee right to Shrude's face.
It looks like Dwighd Shrude has been cut.
Shrude misses with a hook to the ribs.
Shrude dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes.
Matwijenko tries a knee to the head but Shrude blocks it.
Shrude wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Matwijenko has him pressed against the ropes.
Shrude takes a knee right on the jaw!
Matwijenko jumps guard and drags Shrude to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Matwijenko wants to stand but Shrude is controlling the position.
Shrude trying to control the position from guard on top but Matwijenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shrude is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Matwijenko is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We're going to have a standup here because Dwighd Shrude wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A big head kick from Matwijenko and Shrude is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shrude is trying to control the position but Matwijenko postures up.
Shrude has his feet on Matwijenko's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Shrude throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice uppercut lands for Shrude. That snapped Matwijenko's head back.
Matwijenko chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A shot to the body from Shrude misses
and Matwijenko counters with a body kick.
Shrude looks to land a left hand but Matwijenko moved out of range nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shrude thows a body shot but no joy.
Jab from Matwijenko.
Shrude works the jab nicely.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Matwijenko.
Shrude is breathing heavily.
Matwijenko connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Shrude! He's out on his feet! Matwijenko rushes in and drops Shrude with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Iwan Matwijenko!
An out of breath Iwan Matwijenko thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
