PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Pogi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Action Bronson - Barry Horowitz as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arthur Pogi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pogi.

Pogi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Pogi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Pogi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pogi lands a nice short elbow.
Pogi misses with a head shot. Jackson uses the momentum to regain guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Jeff Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

That kick from Jackson tenderised Pogi's leg. Pogi is trying to keep his angry face on.

Pogi shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pogi misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jackson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pogi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.

Jackson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pogi doesn't seem bothered though.

Oh Pogi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jackson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Pogi falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jackson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
