The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sanders blocks a head kick by Gracie.
Sanders misses with a head kick.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Sanders shows good takedown defense.

Gracie drives through and clinches with Sanders against the cage.
Sanders misses with a punch on the inside.

Gracie manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Gracie is looking for a triangle but Sanders pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanders won't allow Gracie to sweep him here.

Gracie is looking for a triangle here but Sanders uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Sanders wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his arm.

Sanders is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gracie has his foot on Sanders's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanders works his way back into a safe position though.
Sanders tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Sanders controlling him for the moment.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a triangle. Sanders throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Sanders's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Peter Gracie!
