Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jas Brzydota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jas Brzydota has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Luke Reed's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luke Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jas Brzydota!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed tries to clinch up but Brzydota circles away and keeps his distance.
Reed tries to close the distance and clinch but Brzydota swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brzydota avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Reed gets a clinch.

Reed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reed lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Jas Brzydota has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reed closes the distance and clinches.
Brzydota prevents Reed from breaking the clinch.

Reed breaks from the clinch.
Reed throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brzydota.
Reed tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Brzydota counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Reed's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Reed wants to stand but Brzydota is controlling the position.
Brzydota won't allow Reed to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reed pulls Brzydota in close to prevent any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brzydota forces his way into half guard.
Reed tries to roll over but Brzydota keeps him under control.
Reed is trying to stand up here but Brzydota is controlling him well.
Reed is looking for a sweep. Brzydota is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brzydota is trying to control the action in half guard but Reed is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Reed is trying to get back to full guard.
Brzydota controlling the action here.
Brzydota stalling away here and it's allowed Reed to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Brzydota trying to control the position from guard on top but Reed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Reed is looking for a triangle here but Brzydota uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Brzydota tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brzydota has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brzydota prevents Reed from escaping the position.
Reed tries to buck Brzydota off but Brzydota is having none of it.
Reed regains half guard.
Reed is trying to get back to full guard.
Brzydota is controlling the pace.
Brzydota passes into side control, despite Reed's attempt to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reed is looking for a sweep.

Brzydota working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Reed is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Reed manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Reed kicks Brzydota off and gets back to his feet.
Reed lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Reed dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jas Brzydota's cut.
That's time! Reed's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Reed lands a high kick!

Reed closes the distance and pushes Brzydota back into the cage.
Brzydota has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Reed avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Reed wants to break the clinch but can't.
Reed trying to stall but Brzydota improves his position.

Reed breaks the clinch.
Luke Reed is winning the standup battle so far.
Reed scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reed throws a right hand that Brzydota ducks under and follows up with a left that Brzydota also avoids with ease.
Reed lands with a kick to the temple. Brzydota shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Brzydota gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Luke Reed!
