Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Azarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Friedrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azarov comes to the cage accompanied by Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture (Finale). Friedrich has chosen Go hard or go home as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azarov is looking to clinch but Friedrich is avoiding it.
Azarov ducks under a wild hook from Friedrich.
Azarov wants to clinch up but Friedrich keeps it at a distance.
Azarov staying out of range there.
Friedrich throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Friedrich throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Azarov throws a series of punches but Friedrich avoids them all with ease.
Azarov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Azarov takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Friedrich throws a one two combo.

It looks like Sergei Azarov has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Friedrich rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Azarov counters with a takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Azarov is looking to take a break and control but Friedrich is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Friedrich is trying to control Azarov's posture but Azarov avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Azarov wants to take a breather but Friedrich manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Azarov.

Azarov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Friedrich looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Friedrich looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Friedrich!

You can see the frustration on Azarov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Azarov tries to bench press Friedrich off him but Friedrich keeps the position.
Azarov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Nice strikes from Friedrich there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Azarov is not content to let Friedrich control the position.

Azarov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Friedrich is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Azarov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Friedrich pulls his head out easily.
