The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Semenov tries to avoid it but Dama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Semenov to the ground. Semenov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Dama with that takedown attempt.
Semenov doesn't manage to clinch there - Dama circles away.
Dama tries for a takedown but Semenov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lal Dama. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Semenov closes the distance and pushes Dama back into the cage.
