Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roland Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonah Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonah Smith!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Gracie tries to advance to mount but Smith denies him.
Smith is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.
A lull in the action here as Gracie stalls from top position.

Gracie is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Gracie laying and praying for a moment but Smith takes advantage and regains half guard.
Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Smith defends it.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gracie tries to pass to full mount but Smith defends it.

Smith is refusing to be controlled, as Gracie sits in half guard.
Smith keeping control of the position.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Smith still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Smith has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Smith stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Smith misses with a wild body shot.
Nice defenses there by Smith.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gracie advances position into side control!
Smith is not content to let Gracie control the position.

Gracie is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Smith looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gracie gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Smith is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gracie lets go of the hold and Smith can pop his arm back in it's socket.
