And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Einem Schlag !
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schlag doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Chaos counters by moving into the clinch.
Schlag is trying to break the clinch but Chaos is controlling him.
Schlag is trying to break free.

Chaos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chaos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schlag tries for a takedown but Chaos circles away easily

and Chaos counters with a takedown into side control.
Chaos moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Chaos goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Schlag has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Chaos but great work by Schlag .

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ultimate Chaos just wasn't active enough.
Schlag misses with a takedown attempt

and Chaos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Schlag !

Chaos looking for a guillotine from mount but Schlag is having none of it.
Chaos unloads with some shots from mount but Schlag bucks and avoids them well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chaos looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Schlag puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Schlag seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Chaos wants to control but Schlag is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chaos is trying to stand back up but Schlag is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ultimate Chaos dominated that round.

and Chaos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Schlag !
Chaos sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Schlag squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Chaos controlling from the full mount.

Chaos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Schlag is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Schlag and Chaos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Ultimate Chaos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ultimate Chaos just wasn't active enough.

Chaos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schlag sprawls well initially but Chaos persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Schlag wants to stand back up but Chaos manages to pass into side control.

Chaos is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Schlag will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Schlag is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Chaos stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Schlag doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Chaos counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Chaos stops Schlag from getting back to his feet.

Chaos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Schlag defends it well.
Schlag won't allow Chaos to pass to mount.

Chaos moves into full mount! Schlag won't be happy about that!

Chaos get's back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chaos bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Schlag is trying to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chaos just content to control the position.

Schlag misses with a takedown

Schlag looks like he's trying to stand up.
Chaos is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ultimate Chaos.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chaos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
