Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Pelano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt blocks the body kick.
Pelano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hunt instigates a clinch.
Pelano will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Hunt up against the cage.

Hunt wants the takedown. Pelano is fighting it off but Hunt persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pelano's guard against the cage.
Hunt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pelano works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pelano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hunt gets to his feet - Pelano follows without any prompting.
Pelano throws a right hand that Hunt ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunt also avoids with ease.

Hunt manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pelano on his heels. He'll look to pass Pelano's guard now, I'm sure.

Hector Pelano has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hunt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Pelano doesn't manage to clinch there - Hunt circles away.

Pelano lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Pelano is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pelano tries to bum rush Hunt with a series of wild strikes but Hunt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hunt shoots in looking for a takedown but Pelano manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hunt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hunt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hunt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hunt showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pelano holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Hunt just wasn't active enough.
Pelano throws a right hand that Hunt ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunt also avoids with ease.
Hunt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Hunt fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pelano avoids it really well and circles away.

Hunt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pelano's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
