Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, YB Sol Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hezekiah Stoltfus!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoltfus takes a swing at Sol Jr's ribcage but misses.
Stoltfus slips under a jab.
Sol Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sol Jr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stoltfus.
Sol Jr tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sol Jr on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sol Jr drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
YB Sol Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stoltfus.
Stoltfus throws a series of strikes that have Sol Jr backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sol Jr throws a shot from downtown. Stoltfus moves away and avoids it.
Stoltfus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sol Jr has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Stoltfus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sol Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Stoltfus.
A big right from Sol Jr misses.
Stoltfus throws a leg kick that is checked
and Sol Jr counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sol Jr scores with a nice right hand.
Both fighters circling a little - Sol Jr finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Stoltfus 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sol Jr bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oooooh!!! Sol Jr has knocked Stoltfus down with a huge combo! Sol Jr steps away and waves a wobbly Stoltfus back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Stoltfus is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stoltfus walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Stoltfus limp body while Sol Jr jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). YB Sol Jr!
